What the published guidance says
Charter Oak’s current catalog distinguishes undergraduate and graduate portfolio credit and describes faculty review. Its portfolio programme advises graduate students to consult their programme director or academic adviser. The learning must match the appropriate academic course and standard.
Discuss the claim before collecting endorsements
A strong reference may verify that you held a role, yet say little about the academic learning you want assessed. Start with the proposed graduate subject and the knowledge it requires. Then decide which records can support your explanation.
Keep the institution’s academic decision separate from ToHave’s support. We can help organise a genuine evidence account, but a portfolio should remain your account of your learning and comply with the college’s own instructions. Do not present an employer’s praise as a substitute for the required analysis.
An example to think through
A professional evaluating a service change could explain the framework used, the quality of the evidence and the competing options. An employer statement might corroborate their contribution, while an authorised analysis could support the academic claim. Neither item establishes a graduate credit award before faculty assessment.
This is an illustrative preparation example, not a past applicant’s story or an approved assessment outcome.
Three questions to take forward
Has my graduate adviser confirmed an appropriate portfolio route?
What distinguishes the requested learning from an undergraduate account?
Which evidence verifies both my contribution and the reasoning behind it?
Availability, costs and ToHave’s role
Requirements can change with the programme, subject, application date and your own evidence. Check the institution’s current information before relying on a route. Admission, academic credit, a complete qualification and professional registration are different decisions.
ToHave can help organise genuine evidence and support a suitable application where permitted. Our service fee is £100 GBP, payable at the end of the work. Any institution charges and agreed external costs are separate. Read the service conditions and costs. The institution decides the academic outcome; our support does not guarantee approval.
